Deliver a photographer's stunning work within an unobtrusive, but suitably crisp and modern book design. Additionally, promoted portions of a photographer's stunning work through a public relations booklet, designed to emphasive the non-profit, fund raising intent behind the book. Forward written by Oprah Winfrey. Project Managed by Artisan Creative, Los Angeles.

This design conveyed the storyline of a hunted princess, in a dramatic and teen-accessible cover. The first in a line of young adult fiction novels (Pop Fiction).

As a freelance designer, developed further implementation on an existing campaign using the work of noted international illustrator, Hanoch Piven. Used the fresh, vibrant imagery of his illustration to playfully express positive brand qualities. The vehicle wrap ad visiting nurses and doctors at a training event for medical practitioners who specialize in Oncology.

The shutter island graphic novel was based on Dennis Lehane's novel--and both were source material for the film starring Leonardo DiCaprio. The print and web advertisements focused on the nightmare painted by the graphic novel, targeting horror, noir and mainstream fans of the feature film. Included flash banner advertisements. Co-published by Tokyopop.

Developed a mobile mini-game program for Tokyopop Media. Along with Interactive Designer Nancy Tsang and animator Jeeyoon Na, conceptualized and executed planning, organization and visuals for animation-friendly iphone game with an audience of female teens. Positive sales and enthusiastic fan support were the result.

Reestablished and redesigned the web presence and identity for a software development firm, as part of a brand refresh. Developed visual design for portfolio, using known jquery technology. Interviewed principal and key staff and integrated highlights of business practices into the design of the site, including staff profiles and blogs, highlights of programming languages used and services delivered. The Institute for Innovation in health seeks to provide support for change within the UCLA health system and outside it, though innovation in medical practice. Identity designed for a Los Angeles Unified District School. Developed to assist in fund-raising endeavors.

A stronger sense of group cohesion resulted among students, staff and outlying community. Two years of consistent fundraising improvement, and enthusiasm for donations and sales came about as well.

Gothic and Lolita is a combination of the Gothic and "Lolita" fashion, which combines the dark fashion of Goth with Victorian frills, resulting in massive experimentation, and a vibrant fashion subculture imported from Japan. Gothic & Lolita Bible is the premier US source for western fans/participants in this fashion subculture.

This magazine hosts material imported from Japan, as well as content original to the US edition. The US original designs create a fresh interest in the content, resulting in sales success that sees each edition repeatedly selling out on newsstands and in bookstores.

Designed for the purpose of fund-raising. Invites developed for the ACLU Foundation of Southern California annual Bill of Rights Dinner.

Developed a complete web- and print-based event and identity program for UCLA's non-profit Black Male institute, aimed at developing awareness, education, and solutions for african-american males seeking higher education. Visit the site.

Drupal content management system was used to manage event signups, promotion, and list communication in one integrated system. Signups increased, and the amount of time required to manage the event decreased.

Used the PHP Smarty template system (a precursor to Drupal) to reskin the TOKYOPOP site using html, css and light PHP. Applied visual standards developed in their company style guide. Project responsibilities extended to redesigning email newsletter to visually match the site reskin.
